Ōpunake Christmas Parade is held on 24 December every year. This tradition has been happening for well over 50 years and many whānau come home for this special occasion. Floats Marshall at the Layard Street lake area from 6pm and then judging, then the parade will begin. The Parade sets off down Tasman Street at 7pm. ​
